Klipp lives in your Mac's menu bar. Copy something or take a screenshot and it's captured automatically, then open the panel from the menu-bar icon to browse your history. Taking a screenshot has its own global shortcut, which you can rebind in settings, and you can turn on launch at login there too.
Klipp reads the text inside every image on your Mac, so you can search a screenshot by its contents. You can also narrow to screenshots, copied images, copied text, or favourites, filter by source app and date, and narrow images by tone, light or dark, or by size, plus add your own tags.
Optionally. Connect your own Notion database or a folder on your Mac in settings and Klipp can upload captures there and let you drag a hosted link instead of the file. It is off by default and only ever uploads where you tell it to.
It's optional and off until you enable it. When on, Klipp adds a coarse, city-level location tag to new captures, storing only city, region, and country, never precise coordinates.
No. Klipp has no servers of its own, and your history stays on your Mac in an encrypted database. Nothing is uploaded unless you connect a destination yourself. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

System requirements
macOS 14.0 or later. Klipp needs screen recording permission to take screenshots. No account is needed to use Klipp. A Notion account is only needed if you choose to enable uploads there.
